Lake Bogoria reserve is famed for its geysers, hot springs, and huge flocks of pink and white flamingos. It is also one of the greatest sanctuaries for greater kudu. Your first stop would probably be a temptation to test the spectacular, though sulphurous smelling eruptions. Vegetation is mainly bush land with small patches of riverine forest. It has grasslands along shoreline. Birds are mainly flamingos.
Lake Baringo lies between two walls of the Great Rift Valley with the dramatic Kamasia block standing in between. Kamasia remained standing when the valley sank. This park made its name especially for the ornithological and water sports bluffs. This reserve is also known for its different spectacle of bird species. Its shallow waters are known for sustaining healthy populations of fish, crocodile and hippos which can be viewed from the shoreline.
