Keellu Resort – is located along Iten – Eldoret Road. All the Guest rooms are well furnished, they have reading tables, built in wardrobes, DSTV connected television sets and access to a wireless network. Lorna Kiplagat Sports Academy – initiated by Lorna herself, a world class marathoner with her Dutch husband – Pieter Langerhorst the academy offers. This camp provided runners the opportunity to train in a modern situation. The track is the modern tartan track. Other facilities include a swimming pool, restaurant, accommodation, gymnasium and comfortable rest lounges. A Girls school foundation for nurturing young talents is being achieved. Wagon Hotel, Eldoret (36km form Iten) – Built in the colonial era as a stopover for settlers to undertake their businesses, the hotel provides good ambience and accommodation and within reach to Eldoret town where forex bureaus and major banks are found. Samich Resort – overlooking the Kerio Valley it offers one of the best views of the Rift Valley. It’s location is however far from Iten but the area has other High Training camps in Kaptagat area. A vehicle can be assigned to drop you daily at the camp. Internet available.
Elagerini Travellers Tented – Is located in the Kaptagat area with several training camps surrounding the camp. The tents are comfortable with hot water showers, mosquito nets and very delicious meals. The natural bushes bring out a natural feel with a river flowing just outside your tents.
Eldoret Club – is a private member’s club which was established in 1924 by group of Uasin Gishu residents who wanted a place to meet socially and which would provide relaxation and entertainment for themselves and their families. It however extends these services to guests who wish to feel the country ambience in town. It has 32 self contained en suite rooms with local and satellite tv. Their Gymnasium and swimming pool are well equipped. You can also enjoy a round of golf.
On various days that you may wish to sightsee, Kieran Tours & Travel will arrange, provide transport and professional guides to the following places;
Visits to the bottom of the valley to Chebloch Gorge (½ day) – A nature walk with resident guides will take you down the gorges to view crocodile, various birdlife and amazing gorge formations created in over millions of years
Nandi Hills Tea Plantations (1 day) – appearing from a distance as a gently undulating sea of green is Kenya’s world famous black tea that is unrivalled in quality throughout the world. Most of these tea estates are from the colonial era.
Kakamega Forest (1 day) – walk in this dense rainforest watching primates, butterflies and other insects, birds, mushroom on dead trees, historical and old trees that are over 700 years old. Also visit one of the natural grassland in the rainforest, get up to the canopy. walk and see different canopy layers of the rainforest then get back to the Kakamega forest station for lunch. After lunch, you will tour the community conservation projects, starting with tree nursery where you can promote conservation by adopting a tree in the botanical garden, visit the butterfly farm and see all stages of butterfly circle and visit a breeding house where the caterpillar (lava)are kept for education purposes.
Hell’s Gate National Park / Lake Naivasha (1 day or 1 overnight) – Hells Gate National Park is a unique Park where walking or biking is done in the middle of wildlife. Giraffes, zebras, warthogs and many types of gazelles are found here. The first part of this walk /biking is done in typical flat African savannah in a volcanic area with huge rock boundaries. There are camphor and acacia trees all over and this is where to look for the giraffe as they mainly feed on them. A picnic lunch will be at the Rangers post. The second part of the walk is done in the Hell’s Gate Gorge by descending into a steep canyon with running water from geysers and wild vegetation. The climax of the day is in walking in the side Gorge where the rocks have split to leave only a walking path. Climb out of the gorge and get onto your bikes for a ride back to the main gate. The following day visit Lake Naivasha for a boat ride and in the afternoon return to your destination.
Masai Mara (3 days) – The Masai Mara is a vast game reserve with undulating plains, hills and woodland grooves in the southwest corner of Kenya, shares its southwestern border with Tanzania. This is lion and elephant country with leopard, cheetah and a recovering population of black rhino. The Mara is home to several hundred species of birds and is famous for the annual migration of wildebeest thundering across the southern plains to the Serengeti in Tanzania.
The Masai Mara trip can be arranged for the last three days and after the safari, the guests can be transferred to the airport for their outbound flight.

Light clothing for the day and at least a sweater or coat for the evenings which might be cold at times.
Accommodation is permanent tented camps and lodges in fenced area with 24 hr. security. All the tents/rooms have twin beds, instant hot showers, generator power, swimming pools, WI-FI, comfortable beds with mosquito nets and self-contained bathrooms. The restaurant provides buffet menu for meals and European breakfast. The bar is also well stocked.
